Most Torchmate CNC machines are sold through our own extensive family customers and web sites.  However, this new 4' x 4' capacity Torchmate was designed to compete with and out-perform similar sized machines from several new start-up companies.
 
The unit is constructed of heavy extruded aluminum, and can be quickly broken down into sub-assemblies if you need to move it.  It is driven from both sides via a driveshaft, and can be fitted with either a manual plasma torch or a machine torch.  A router, drill, or engraving head can also be easily mounted.  Brackets are supplied to accommodate 3/16" x 3" hot roll steel material support slats, which you purchase locally to save shipping costs.

Although priced thousands of dollars below the competition, it offers the following advantages:
 
1.  Heavier construction than competing models.  Compare the size of the
     aluminum extrusions.  High load capacity industrial cam followers riding on
     cold rolled steel are used for the X axis, rather than neoprene rollers on
     aluminum.  The Y axis is a precision industrial linear rail and roller cassette
     with eight 1" diameter hardened needle bearing rollers at right angles to each
     other. 
2.  You can use it with oxy/fuel, a router, or a drill, as well as with a plasma
     cutter.
3.  It comes with your choice of a mounting bracket for a manual or vertical
     machine torch.
4.  Includes both our driver software and CAD Module with full automatic nesting.
     No other manufacturer of machines selling for under $40,000 offers nesting
     and many other Torchmate software features.  Inch and metric operation.
5.  It can be supplied with a manual height adjustment, a remote height
     adjustment, or a fully automatic torch height control unit.
6.  It has a couple of extra inches of capacity on both axes so you can cross-cut
     or rip a 4' x 4' sheet.  Material support stands are available, permitting you to
     process half of a 4' x 8' sheet and then slide it down to work the other half.
     Indexing permits you to cut shapes longer than the table itself.
