Creating tool paths

Before we can cut the part, we must tell the computer that the inside parts are to be cut before the outside shape.  We must also tell the computer to put the kerf compensation (to allow for the gap made by the torch) on the inside of the inside parts, and on the outside of the outside shape.

To accomplish this, click on Edit/Select All from the pull-down menu bar.   Then click on Arrange/Make Path.  If this is greyed out, first click on Break Path.

This tells the computer that the shape has interior parts that are to be treated as part of the overall shape.
