with our finished Torchmate III machines and 4' x 4' Small Shop machines only, this upgrade is available
for all of our kits as an option. Gear rack is sold by industrial supply houses with a small square cross-section, that must be tack-welded or otherwise fastened to a support bar before it can be used (see below). At considerable cost, we had special gear rack sections machined that are 3/8" x 1 1/4" and are already drilled with 5/16" diameter mounting holes. The ends are dressed so that two sections can be butted together, and the spur gear does not detect any joint. These rack sections are supplied in either 49" or 61" long sections, depending on the size of the machine for which you are purchasing the upgrade. |
