Torchmate II and III
machines were designed to be rugged enough for processes in which there is
contact between the cutting tool and the work. Our automated Z axis (not to be confused with our torch height control) provides program control of a vertical axis in full synchronization with the other two axes. By adapting a router, drill, engraving head, or a similar tool to our Z axis column, you can to automated 3D drilling, engraving, sign making, etc. This package includes a 3rd motor and cable, our vertical axis column, and BobCad 3D software. Since our Torchmate III units use two driver boards in our controller to drive the twin X axis motors, the use of our Z axis package requires the installation of a 4th driver board. This is why the price is higher for the Torchmate III version of this package. |
