As a shape cutting machine manufacturer, we have often been asked for suggestions
for plasma cutters suitable to mechanized use.

While virtually any plasma cutter can be used with pantograph units, we prefer Hypertherm's models for CNC cutting for several reasons.

In computerized cutting, a plasma cutter must use a pilot arc, rather than a high frequency starting circuit to initiate the arc. These units have not only a pilot arc, but also a quick-disconnect feature that lets you unplug the standard manual torch, and plug in the optional machine torch in seconds.

Hypertherm plasma cutters all come with a starter supply of consumables, air regulator, and water separator, unlike competing brands.

Hypertherm was one of the pioneers in the development of the plasma process. No one knows more about it or has better technology!
