Tool uses a shaft collar with an I.D. the same size as your tailstock spindle& a plate with a fork-like cut out.

The notched fork is mounted in place of a tool holder on your compound slide.

Engage the fork on the shaft collar, and loosen the tailstock clamp so it will just slide. Now your power longitudinal feed will move your tailstock. Simply crank back cross slide to disengage.
