Do you have trouble aligning discs when
mounting them on your bench sander?
Here's the solution!

Cut half of the backing paper from the disc.

Insert the side of the disc with the paper remaining between the table and the wheel.  You can now easily align the disc with the wheel, without fear of the adhesive sticking before the disc is positioned.

Once the disc is aligned, press the adhesive on the top half against the wheel.  Now turn the wheel, and remove the remaining backing paper from the disc.

As a manufacturer of cnc shape cutting machines and flame cutting machines, we try wherever possible to use thermal cutting processes in place of traditional machine work and mechanical cutting. However, as this is not always possible, we have over time developed a number of methods for performing metal fabrication and machine work in the shortest possible time. These pages are intended to share these tips with metal fabrication shops, street rod chassis builders, welding businesses and others for whatever they are worth.
