What is going on this week at Torchmate?

| Let's start in the shop! | |

Chris has been knocking out Laser Crosshairs on the Routermate demo table. It is basically 1" thick polycarbonate that we mill to fit the electronics, lasers and machine torch. Sorry, no picture of Chris. I snapped this while he was out. |

We just pulled this 7'x14' Torchmate XS2 Water Table out of the shop and it is off to be powder coated.
Meanwhile, Jesse and Jon wonder where all this scrap keeps coming from. "We didn't even use any .5 inch material," I hear. They are clearing space for four 5'x10' XS2 Water Tables that they have to build next week. That robot in the background will be humming along by the end of the day. |

After a little investigation, I see where it is coming from. Here is a picture of Jack getting ready to do a sample cut out of .5" mild steel for a customer on one of our demo 4'x4' Torchmate Small Shop Machines. We do a lot of these sample cuts, as you can tell by the pile in the foreground. |
|
Below is a new jig built by Mark, our newest fabricator, to help speed up manufacture of XS2 gantries. They are turning out to be even more popular than we imagined. Gotta gear up!!! |

This is the beginning of a 10' gantry being built for a customer in Houston, TX. They decided to build their own table and save on the freight cost. Our finished Torchmate XS2 tables weigh in excess of 5,000 lbs. Many people choose this option. After all, they fabricate stuff all day. Knocking out a bed for the system is pretty simple. Time consuming, but simple. |

Here is Mark taking a
break. Slacker!
I am just kidding. He is drawing up parts that he needs this afternoon. He is getting spoiled working here he says. He always cut everything by hand before he came to work here. |
|
Josh and Brook from Sales on the left. Monica, our receptionist, on the right. They all hate it when I start walking around with the camera. |

Time to head out into the warehouse and see what shipping is up to |
|

This one is off to Australia this afternoon. I forgot to ask which type of machine it was. |
|
Below are a couple of shots of systems being packaged for shipment. These shipments are headed to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Vietnam and a couple to Canada. We only run international shipments through this building for the most part. It is not uncommon to move 20+ out of here per week. |

This is Kelton. He
just started with us this week. Kelton is a Tight End for the
University of Nevada here in Reno. I don't know that the coach
will like seeing him wearing that Arizona State shirt. I am sure
that he is only wearing it because he doesn't want to mess up a UNR
shirt. We do tend to get dirty here.
Kelton's coach is actually the brother of our Human Resources Director Chelsea. They have been hitting me up to fill some part time slots with football players for awhile. I am afraid that I might have to rethink the free food in the lunch room if we get too many of these guys. |
| Well, that's what is going on here. Winding down for the week. Have a great weekend!!! | |
